Bus and Coach DPF cleaning
Excalibre have invested in high technology DPF cleaning and test equipment for diesel vehicles. We adhere to the same standards as all the major engine OEMs, including the use of the FSX cleaning centre, the cleaning process, testing, and reporting.
What is the DPF and why does it need cleaning?
A diesel particulate filter (DPF) captures and stores exhaust soot in order to reduce emissions from your bus or coach. Over time ash accumulates in the DPF - this ash needs to be removed in order to maintain the effective volume of the part and minimise exhaust back pressure. Low load operation can also cause the DPF to become blocked with soot that cannot be removed by the vehicles active regen system. The FSX cleaning process removes both ash and soot.
